Bienvenidos al Hotel Santa Fe en Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, México.  Somos un Hotel de cuatro estrellas, cuyo arte culinario es renombrado al nivel mundial por sus mariscos, sus platos vegetarianos y vegan-vegetarianos.  Nos encontramos convenientemente ubicados entre dos hermosas playas.  El hotel es una joya arquitectónica, cuyos edificios con su estilo mediterráneo, crean un ambiente íntimo con sus bellos patios con jardines, sus escaleras curveadas y sus espléndidas palapas con sombra.

A casi 25 años de establecido aquí en Puerto, el Hotel Santa Fe ha visto como este pueblo ha crecido de una aldea dedicada a la pesca a un pueblo próspero de 50 000 habitantes.  Este crecimiento  se debe a la importancia que Puerto Escondido tiene como centro regional para la agricultura, la educación, el comercio, la pesca y el turismo, que se han dado como resultado una comunidad activa en vez de ser simplemente otro destino turístico.

Welcome to the Hotel Santa Fe in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico. We are a Four Star Hotel with world renowned seafood, vegetarian and vegan cuisine, conveniently located at the junction of two great beaches. The hotel is an architectural jewel, with mediterranean style buildings enclosing an intimate world with beautiful garden patios, curving stairways and shady palapas.

In the nearly 25 years that the Hotel Santa Fe has been in Puerto, the town has grown from a small fishing village of 3,000 people to a thriving town of more than 50,000 people. This growth has been due to Puerto Escondido’s importance as a regional center for agriculture, education, commerce, fishing and tourism and has resulted in the town becoming a vibrant community rather than just a tourist destination.

Hello: I spent a most marvelous 24 hours recently, during the last week of november 2008, at Finca las Nieves.
I was travelling by myself and staying for a week at Hotel Santa Fe in Puerto Escondido.

I read about la Finca on Santa Fe's website and immediately knew I wanted to visit and spend a night there.
Our driver, guide, instructor, chef, interpreter, and caretaker was Gustavo Boltjes, a tri-lingual young man who clearly loves oustanding people, coffee, the environment, and Oaxaca!

Everything was interesting...from the drive to the plantation, to the hike and nature exploration around its property, to the coffee growing and making process.

Everything was delicious...from the oranges hacked down and opened w/ Gustavo's machete during one of several hikes to the mout-watering mole and homemade tortillas served the night before. Three filling and delicious meals plus snacks were provided.

The rooms were simple, but spacios and lovely, well-equipped...with modern bathrooms, plenty of storage, comfortable mattresses and pillows. What a great sleep I had, after a great meal, lovely company ( 2 couples...one from Sweden and the other from Denmark), and the most fabulous star gazing imaginable.

I highly recommend a night at Finca Las Nieves as a memorable and most pleasant experience for anyone travelling alone or as a couple or family! Laura N. Chick, Los Angeles, California

My wife and I liked Puerto Escondido better than all of the places we have been in Mexico. We found the people genuine and nice, the landscape beautiful and were glad to see that it has not yet been ruined by mega resorts and U.S. based stores. It gave us a true feel of being somewhere different. It is exactly what we were looking for.

The Hotel Sante Fe was one of the best that I have stayed at also. It is very quiet, well taken care of and the master suite was worth the money with balconies in all directions over the beach. They are, however, putting a new concrete boulevard all the way from Hotel Sante Fe to the mid way point of the strip. So, you might tell folks that are staying there it will be noisy during the day until this is completed. With the new boulevard, this strip will be absolutely beautiful. Also, since we are both Vegetarians, we found the food selection at the Hotel Sante Fe to be great. I would never have expected as much in Mexico. Best Regards, Don
